The KöR Whitening Deep Bleaching System is a simple and nearly pain free
process. First, Dr. Gopal will take molds of your teeth. Once the
molds are ready, you will return to our office, where we will begin
the conditioning process. A tray filled with a gel will be placed in
your mouth. This gel breaks up the long chain stain molecules in your
teeth. It is these molecules that appear as stains on your teeth.
Afterward, your teeth will look better, but the bleaching process is not
yet over.
Dr. Gopal will send you home with a home bleaching kit. The kit
consists of gel trays and bleaching gels. You will be instructed to wear
the gel tray once every month. At the end, your teeth will be much more white. They’ll be so white, that you
may think that the process is over. Well, there’s still one more step.
You will make a return visit to the dentist, wherein bleaching gel will
be applied, as well as a desensitizing gel to your teeth. What happens
is that the bleaching gel cleans the stains from your teeth, but it also
unplugs the microscopic holes that make up the surface of your teeth.
And when those holes are unplugged, the teeth will become overly
sensitive. The desensitizing gel plugs those holes, thereby
desensitizing the teeth.
Once the bleaching process is done, you may wonder whether or not you
have to give up all those stain-inducing substances such as coffee, tea,
red wine, and rich food. The answer is “no.” All that is required to
maintain your white teeth is to wear the gel tray once every
month, and that’s it. No lifestyle changes. No pain from overly
