Dr. Gopal will take digital impressions of your teeth, and use these to create whitening trays custom-fitted to your mouth. The trays are designed to keep saliva out, so the whitening agent is not diluted.
If you choose to whiten your teeth at home, you will wear your trays daily for a specified amount of time for a period of about two weeks. You will maintain your results with periodic follow-up treatments. Our in-office procedure involves two treatments in the office with maintenance at home. Whichever you choose will give you a brighter, younger-looking smile.
Tooth bonding is a faster, easier, and less expensive alternative to veneers. It covers many of the same sorts of blemishes, but can generally be completed in one office visit. If your teeth are mildly stained, cracked, chipped, or have an unwanted gap, you may want to consider tooth bonding.
In this procedure, Dr. Gopal uses a tooth-colored resin (similar to that used for composite fillings) to cover minor blemishes.
First, the surface of the tooth is roughened and conditioned, which helps the resin bond better. After the tooth is prepared, the material will be applied, molded, smoothed, and hardened with a special light. After a few final adjustments and polishing, you are ready to go!
Teeth contouring is a procedure that can make subtle changes to the length or shape of a tooth. By removing small amounts of enamel, Dr. Gopal can eliminate small chips and blemishes, even out rough edges, and resculpt an oddly shaped tooth.
Crown lengthening, which removes gum tissue to expose more of the tooth, may be done for cosmetic purposes or to prepare the tooth for a crown. Dr. Gopal is able to perform this procedure painlessly using a special electronic tool.
Dental veneers are thin, tooth-colored shells that are permanently bonded to the fronts of your teeth. They hide a host of imperfections, including chips, cracks, stains, gaps, and even minor alignment issues.
They must be custom crafted at an outside lab, but once they are attached to your teeth, the transformation is immediate.
